Monday 17th July 2017 I'm almost 2 months post op. I was doing some more dog/house sitting in Kew from the 12th-15th last week looking after Amy the Schmoodle and Ginny the long haired cat. I woke up at 5:30am on the morning of the last day of my house sit with a very congested head. Received no warning of it's oncoming - just BOOM! A congested head and a blocked sore left ear, thanks for coming. Couldn't get back to sleep so I looked on FB for the 50th time in a 24 hour period to kill time until I could sleep again. Was hoping for a complete miracle cure by the time I woke up again at a more civilised time in the morning but it never arrived. Bugger. So I took myself off to the chemist to get some cold and flu tablets plus some Panadol Rapid. Turns out that my new stomach doesn't tolerate or approve of cold and flu tablets or Panandol Rapid tablets anymore. Sunday 9th July 2017 8 weeks and a few days post op. Life post op is getting easier all the time as my brain gets used to the dietary changes. It's not just the dietary intake that changes though, it's the portion sizes, hormonal changes, habits, changing your attitude to food and exercise, feeling the cold more. I used to place a lot of importance on exercise, too much. My appetite was running so red hot all the time I thought that I needed to exercise to counteract all that I was eating. I wasn't looking at what food I was putting into my mouth in the first place. But I wasn't looking at what I was putting into my mouth in the first place because I was feeling so tired and stressed out by life all the time I just wanted to eat for comfort. It became a vicious cycle. A good friend of mine once commented that she had noticed I had put on a significant amount of weight around the time that I first moved to Kew.
